Chess Club provides the opportunity for board game lovers to play with their school peers! Students meet twice a month after school to show off their skills and play chess games as time allows.

Students should have prior knowledge of how the game of chess is played.

Clover Buds is designed to introduce young people to the many things they can do in 4-H! Meetings are activity-focused and built on cooperative learning. Members will make new friends and practice social skills by completing small group activities.

Meetings are held after school once a month.

Students will engage in activities centered around science, technology, engineering, art, and math. S.T.E.A.M Club members will also participate in philanthropic endeavors in support of Alex's Lemonade Stand. 

The club will meet twice a month, and members will be selected based on application responses.

The Passport Club will take a world-wide journey this school year! We will explore a different country each month, learning more about their culture, art, music, ways of life, contributions, and famous attractions. We will also taste food from each country!

A small fee will be collected to cover the cost of student supplies at the monthly meetings for the year.

Girls on the Run empowers girls with themes they can relate to in life. These lessons address the whole girl- body, brain, heart, spirit, and social connection- and build important life skills such as team building, developing a support system, boundary setting, decision making, asking for and providing help, and showing kindness.

THIS GROUP IS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL GIRLS REGARDLESS OF ATHLETIC ABILITY OR FITNESS LEVEL. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INCLUDES STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE GROUP. THE SEASON CULMINATES WITH THE GIRLS ON THE RUN 5K, WHICH IS THE CELEBRATORY EVENT THAT UNDERSCORES THE CONFIDENCE, COMPETENCE, CONNECTION, AND CHARACTER THEY’VE BEEN DEVELOPING IN THE PROGRAM.

4-H helps kids grow in leadership, citizenship, friendship, and self-esteem! 4-H projects help kids learn about things like animals, plants, science, and nature. Members also learn life skills by looking at all sides of a problem or task and deciding on a solution. Meetings are hands-on and enable youth to excel in new areas and take on new roles in a group. 

Meetings are held after school once a month, and students complete a workbook at home to be able to attend Achievement Day at the end of the year.

Builders Club is a service club. Its purpose is to develop leadership skills through serving our school and community. During meetings, service projects are planned and prepared.

Students should be able to attend after-school meetings as well as occasional service project events.

The Turtlettes cheerleading team contagiously spreads school spirit throughout the year! Their purpose is to demonstrate leadership, dedication, and love for our school. The girls perform at many school events such as morning welcomes, assemblies, PBIS celebrations, and Miracle League. Tryouts for this team are held in May for the following school year, and two sixth grade students are chosen to lead as squad captains. 

In order to participate, students must be selected for the team based on a tryout score that looks at their energy, spirit, attitude, and performance of a specific cheer and dance.

Student Council sponsors several school and community based events including an annual food drive for the Northshore Food Bank, making holiday cards to deliver to local retirement communities, and volunteering in the schools PBIS Reef Store, just to name a few! Representatives also help the PE Department with Field Day and lead tours for incoming 3rd grade students and families.

In order to participate, students must maintain a 2.5 GPA and outstanding discipline record. Two representatives are elected from each homeroom class, and meetings are held after school.

Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) is for students who want to help ensure that students feel safe, included, and know where to turn if they need help. Club members use their leadership skills, creativity, and passion to protect their friends, schools, and communities from violence BEFORE it happens.

In order to participate, students must be selected to join based upon their application, This includes a brief set of questions regarding various topics related to the club’s mission and a response on how the student could help the club achieve its goals.

Heart & Sole empowers 6th grade girls with themes they can relate to as they enter into middle school life. These lessons address the whole girl- body, brain, heart, spirit, and social connection- and build important life skills such as team building, developing a support system, boundary setting, decision making, asking for and providing help, and showing kindness.

This group is accessible to all girls regardless of athletic ability or fitness level. Physical activity includes strength and conditioning appropriate to the age group. The season culminates with the Girls on the Run 5K, which is the celebratory event that underscores the confidence, competence, connection, and character they’ve been developing in the program.

Beta Club’s ideals focus on promoting academic achievement, character, service, and leadership. Students participate in various events including writing letters to teachers who inspire them, hosting tours to second grade families, assisting with Field Day, marching in the Merry Madisonville Parade, and completing individual service hours. Beta Club even raised $1,000 to donate to our school last year!

Membership is open to sixth grade students who maintained a 4.0 GPA during their 5th grade year.
